Titel: DENDEREH 1898 (TWO VOLUMES)
Verlag: Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co., London
In two large volumes (about 13x10 inches). The hardcover, in boards with cloth spine, is the Seventeenth Memoir of The Egypt Exploration Fund. The one with thick paper covers is subtitled "Extra Plates," and "Special Publication of the The Egypt Exploration Fund." The hardcover has 74 pages of text, followed by 37 plates. Front hinge has been taped up (a long time ago) and there is a bookplate and name on the front endpaper. Rear hinge has also been reinforced with tape. The pages and plates themselves are in excellent condition. The covers are age-darkened and slightly edgeworn, with heavier wear, including chipping, at spine ends. The "Extra Plates" volume contains 32 plates, many of them double-page, plus another 14 pages of charts referring to human bones found at the site. A good deal of the spine is missing, along with most of the tape that had been covering it; corners are chipped, general light soil. Pages are very good. A true "working set," as both books are eminently useable, but certainly are not "for show.". Buchnummer des Verkäufers 002538
