Inhaltsangabe: This is the story of Jonny Wilkinson's life, tracking his incredible ascent from fiercely determined young hopeful to World Cup-winning rugby icon. This book weaves together the testimonies of friends, family, team-mates, opponents, coaches, managers and Wilkinson himself to provide an objective and entertaining account of his life and career. Fully updated to include England's magnificent defence of their World Cup crown in 2007, it highlights just why even the Australians regard Jonny Wilkinson as the finest player of his generation and arguably the greatest kicker in rugby history.

Über den Autor: A former editor of the Rugby Icons website, Iain Spragg has written about rugby for The Daily Telegraph, The Times and Five Nations magazines. He was the author of Glory Glory Lions, the inside story of the Lions Tour to South Africa in 1997, and contributor to Lawrence Dallaglio's testimonial brochure. Iain, who also wrote The Reduced History of Rugby for Carlton Books, attended every England match in their 2007 World Cup campaign. Adrian Clarke combined his writing career with that of a professional, then semi-professional footballer throughout the 1990s. After hanging up his boots, Adrian joined the Southend Evening Echo before moving to the rapidly expanding world of internet journalism, working as news editor of a sports website.
