~Signed by William Heinemann. 4to. Bound in original half mustard morocco, brown paper to boards. Single raised band and gilt lettering to spines. Spines somewhat darkened, as usually found. With original mustard slipcase, very worn. Silk marker per vol. Top edges gilt, other edges semi-trimmed. Each volume has an art-deco bookplate to the first blank front endpage. Vol.1 has another bookplate to the inside front board apparently celebrating the the Queen's Club Championship final of 1908. The calligraphic script reads: 'autumn 1908 London C.C.C.Q.C. won by K. Powell / M.J.G.Ritchie Victo.' Kenneth Powell (1885-1915) beat Major Josiah George Ritchie (1870-1955) 6:4, 3:3 in the 1908 final, Ritchie retiring in the second set.
