On top of that she was raped when she was 14, by her (ex)boyfriend. She went through years of verbal and some physical abuse by her adoptive parents, but moved out for good in 2013. She always had a curiosity to find her natural mother, back in Romania, but her adoptive parents discouraged it and made attempts to prevent her from finding her truth.
