Inhaltsangabe: High school graduation is just around the corner for Jason Ellis and his friends. Their social life is booming and Jason has his girlfriend Rem by his side. So far, this has been the greatest year of Jason?s eighteen-year-old life, but 1984 isn't over with yet. In the blink of an eye, forty-year-old Jason looks back at a life that feels wasted on broken relationships and a career that belittles his talents. Can the friendships that spun him into this oblivion actually rescue him from it? He'll find out when he returns to his home town in Nebraska: the only place where he remembers knowing who he was. What waits for him there is the past he has never been willing to confront. Jason and friends will all find their answers if they are willing to finally cross the walking bridge.

Über den Autor: Walking Bridge explores the lives of its characters - four kids from the 80s - who they were then, and who they have become. What did they do right? What mistakes did they make? And who did they do all of this with? Jeffrey Walz is a kid from the 80s. The fictional story, Walking Bridge takes place in his home town of Norfolk, Nebraska. He no longer lives in Nebraska, but his style and sentiment reflect what many already know: you can take the boy away from home, but you can't take home away from the boy. Walz has made a simple landmark in northeast Nebraska a metaphor for the journey traveled by many in his generation, but is a story that transcends all ages, and geography. It is a human story about the youthful connections we don't create or sometimes even cultivate. We simply accept their presence in our lives. These relationships revealed us to ourselves at a time when we needed it most ? whether we wanted them to or not.
