Inhaltsangabe: In this book, Scott Shaw, a prolific proponent of modern Zen, details the various aspects of encountering and interacting with life in a conscious manner. He achieves this by detailing and examining everyday experiences and common life encounters which can cause an individual to make either conscious or unconscious decisions. Shaw guides the reader to a place where they may come to understand the true nature of the everyday trials and tribulations of life and come to new realizations about life and enlightenment in the modern world.
Über den Autor: Scott Shaw is a prolific author and filmmaker. He is recognized as one of the preeminent Martial Art Masters of the Western World and is a leading proponent of modern Zen. During his youth he became deeply involved with Eastern Meditative Thought. This guided him to Asia where he has been initiated into Buddhist, Hindu, and Sufi sects. Today, Shaw frequently returns to Asia, documenting obscure aspects of Asian culture in words and on film. He is a frequently featured contributor to Martial and Meditative Art Journals and is the author of numerous books on Zen Buddhism, the Martial Arts, Yoga, Meditation, Social Science, Poetry, and Literature.
