The couple separated without obtaining a divorce in 1891. The inscription reads: "With best love from your brother and joint author". Publisher's original brown cloth, with black printed title and ornaments to boards and spine. Some cocking to spine. Some bumping to spine ends. General wear, including to spine ends, joints, edges. Some peeling and discoloration to front and rear endpapers, pastedowns. Some light foxing. No dust jacket. A nice first edition copy of the celebrated collection of ghost stories by Algernon Blackwood and Wilfred Wilson, inscribed with an interesting association to Wilson's sister J.K.M. Inglefield.
