First edition Fine and bright gatefold wraps with crisp bright text throughout. Remains one of the more attractive documents of the twentieth century portraits in photograph by a poet of other poets, photographers, artists and art inventors. A unique piece.
Stapled wrappers in dustjacket. First Thus. First separate appearance, and an early Davenport title. Published on the occasion of poet and publisher Williams's 40th birthday, and to celebrate the publication by University of North Carolina Press of his selected poems, An Ear in Bartram's Tree. This essay serves as the introduction to that volume, and is here accompanied by a portrait drawing by Davenport, and a photographic portrait by Ralph Eugene Meatyard. Lightly rumpled and rubbed, but a nice copy nonetheless. 8vo.
