The Handbook of Youth Prevention Science describes current research and practice in mental health preventive interventions for youth. Throughout the book, preventive interventions are seen as complementary components of effective mental health programs, not as replacements for therapeutic interventions.

Dr. Beth Doll is a Professor and Director of the School Psychology Program at the University of Nebraska Lincoln.

Dr. William (Bill) Pfohl is a Professor of Psychology at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green Kentucky.

Dr. Jina Yoon is Associate Professor and Co-Director of the School and Community Psychology program at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
