Theodor Adorno's "Aesthetic Theory (1970)" offers one of the most powerful and comprehensive critiques of art and of the discipline of aesthetics ever written. Cascardi is Professor of Comparative Literature, Rhetroric & Spanish, U.C. Berkeley. Thierry de Duve is Professor at Universite Lille 3, Departement Arts Plastiques in Villeneuve d'Ascq, France. Ales Erjavec is at the Institute of Philosophy, Scientific Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts. Robert Kaufman is Assistant Professor of Comparative Literature, U.C. Berkeley. Fred Rush is Associate Professor of Philosophy, University of Notre Dame.
