Reseña del editor:

Matt Fleming lived the life of a drug addict for over thirty years, but through the ministry of a faith-based treatment program and the saving grace of Jesus Christ he finds freedom from addiction and a ministry in God's kingdom. He allows himself to be led literally down highways in search of fellow addicts in need of salvation. On these "seek and save" missions Matt finds fulfillment, and yet, even surrounded by God's love and provision, a past memory haunts him continuously.

Years before, on the night of Matt's twenty-first birthday, his friends decided to arrange a "date" with a prostitute as a gift. The night ends in drunken violence and the prostitute is left for dead. The guilt Matt feels for his brutality and the possible murder of another human being wreaks havoc on his soul.

Despite Matt's ability to hear God's voice in every other area of his life, the Lord seems strangely silent with regards to "the incident." Eventually, Matt's travels lead him back to New Orleans, where the attack took place. It is there that Matt realizes God is never silent; He always has a plan. There is a purpose in pain, and Matt will learn this valuable lesson through the salvation of one very unlikely friend.
