Biografía del autor:

CARMELA CHÁVEZ is a thinker and a writer who has been working as a caregiver for a quadriplegic woman after leaving the practice of law. She graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1974, where she was a student senator and activist who spoke out to advance a range of liberal causes. She earned a law degree from Harvard, and for 15 years, she owned a law offi ce, taking cases as a public defender, a social security disability representative and a childrens' advocate. She lives in the Nob Hill Neighborhood in Albuquerque.
