Reseña del editor:
The digital age provides amazing opportunities for writers, because a single short story can make you famous. But it has to be the right kind of short story. It has to be a story that WORKS — and this book will show you how to write one. If you follow the procedures recommended in this book, you’ll learn how to find ideas for stories; how to develop the original germ of an idea into the outline of an effective story; how to revise and polish your first draft; and how to go about getting your work published and finding readers. Michael Allen’s first short story was published in 1959. His first novel appeared in 1963. Since then he has written several million words in all the media: fiction, non-fiction, TV scripts, stage plays, and more.
