Each chapter has specific tales of healing experiences and adventures with some being quite miraculous, or hard to believe really happened. The phrase "lucky dog" will definitely come to mind. You will find anecdotes to various life threatening viruses, illnesses, insect stings, or broken paws you likely didn't know you had or could have at your fingertips.
