In fact, if you are in your 40’s and have even a slight change in your movements or the feelings of your joints, you have a chance to slow or even stop the progression of osteoarthritis. This condition is so prevalent in our society today that even if you don’t think you have osteoarthritis, being familiar with it is in your best interest. This is more than degradation of bone and cartilage. It is a signal the body is wearing out. It threatens our mobility and independence. It threatens our anticipated future. Arthritis threatens who we are. Aging may be part of the development of osteoarthritis but it is the psychological trauma that wreaks havoc with us in the beginning.

Rocky O'Dell wrote Arthritis Answers when she found herself suffering from the pain and stiffness of osteoarthritis. To her amazement, the causes and solutions were much more complicated and more promising than she knew. Using her research and information knowledge she looked for every possible solution to her pain and fear. What this book presents is the story of that search and the exciting new research being done and the therapies available today which make it possible to improve almost anyone's condition as it relates to osteoarthritis. And, it is a great look at developments from the past few years that are already changing the treatments available. There is a look at most of the things being used today with a very personal reaction to them. Rocky has tried many of them and honestly writes about her experiences. Rocky O'Dell has a Master's Degree in Instruction Design and Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Communication. She was raised in a medical family and worked for many years for a research company that indexed and provided drug and disease information to libraries and medical systems. This book should give hope to anyone with osteoarthritis.
