Reseña del editor:
Our Daily Weird: Quirky Observations in Recovery, is my offbeat devotional book geared toward people struggling with addiction or alcoholism. Some of it is irreverent, some funny, some disturbing. Topics address isolation, fear, selfishness, peace, and insanity. The concepts are illustrated by a host of odd thoughts on anything from vampires to mother’s kisses. Each page is put in a colorful frame of stories about childhood memories, mythological characters, & more. While the subject is serious, the strange and absurd stories have been the most helpful to me. Laughing at the mirror has been a huge part of my healing, and I want to share that with others.
Biografía del autor:
I am not an expert, I’m an alcoholic. I am not a doctor, I’m a patient. This book is my attempt to make my insanity productive. 12 step meetings, psychotherapy, and a variety of religious denominations have given me a rainbow of lenses to see through. I have the bonus qualification of being dual-diagnosis: Alcoholism coupled with other mental illnesses. I am an active member of a local AA group, as well as serving on the committee for Episcopal Recovery Ministries.
