In 2007 when I retired from SIM (Serving in Mission, formerly Sudan Interior Mission), I was asked if I would write the history of the mission's literature work in Nigeria and also Ghana-the two primary countries where SIM began distributing the African Challenge magazine in the early 1950s. Having spent 50 years involved with SIM-related literature work in various capacities, I realized there was no one else more qualified to tackle these projects.
