James Harpur studied Classics and English Literature at Trinity College, Cambridge, and is the author and editor of a number of popular books for adults and for children on ancient and medieval history and warfare. These include The Eyewitness Visual Dictionary of Ancient Civilizations, Revelations: The Medieval World, Pyramid and The Crusades. He lives in Clonakilty, County Cork, Ireland.
