Max Holechek - Author When Max is not working on picture books, he writes, designs and directs interactive entertainment for children and their families. His work has won more than twenty-five awards, including those from Parent's Choice, Children's Software Revue and the National Parenting Center. Max lives in Seattle, Washington, with his wife, son, and their tin toy robot collection. This is his first published book. Darrell Toland - Illustrator Darrell started drawing when he as five years old. After graduating college with a fine art degree, he made a living selling paintings, illustrations and working in graphic design.He has experience in the television industry as a motion designer and animator. He has won awards for his print, illustration and broadcast work, including five Emmy (R) Awards and three Telly Awards.Darrell works as an artist, writer, illustrator and catoonist. He loves sci-fi movies, tools and building robots. He lives in Seattle with his wife, two daughters, and is currently producing the web comic Stix and Bones.
