Reseña del editor:
Iceland, the land of fire and ice in the North Atlantic, is a place you either absolutely fall for or one you detest and ignore. Roman Signer has definitely fallen for its wilderness, myths and atmosphere. Signer, one of Switzerland's internationally most recognised contemporary artists, has been travelling to Iceland for many years and has realised a large number of his pyrotechnical actions, photographic and video works there. Signer and his friend, the Icelandic artist Tumi Magnusson, discuss a vast range of topics whilst hiking in the rough landscape: Whiskey and water, wilderness and creativity, being under way and stuck in open nature, explosion craters and geysers. Anecdotes are followed by reminiscences, Magnusson's native Iceland is compared to Signer's Switzerland. Their narrative about travels, nature and living in Iceland are also metaphors for creativity and dealing with obstacles and difficulties in producing art. "When You Travel in Iceland You See a Lot of Water" is full of wisdom, subtle wit and humour, illustrated with photographs of the landscape, many of them with the two wandering artists in the picture.. NOTA: El libro no está en español, sino en inglés.
