This is a small archive of books about the esteemed Victorian author, Anthony Trollope. It is a treasure trove for the Trollope aficionado. The group includes a variety of works by various respected academic authors. 1. Anthony Trollope, Aspects of His Life and Art, by Bradford A. Booth, Indiana University Press, Bloomington, 1958, 258 pp. In light green cloth with orange titles on the spine. Ex-library, with typical library markings and labels, but otherwise in very good condition. Binding is sound. No marks to the text at all. In an unclipped DJ. 2. Anthony Trollope, His Work, Associates and Originals, by T.H.S. Escott, John Lane The Bodley Head, London, 1913, 351 pp + 16 p. ads. In red cloth with gilt titles on the spine and front cover. Ex-library, but with just one ink stamp on bottom edge and just one label on the rear pastedown. Binding is sound but there is a tear in the spine cloth extending about halfway down from the top and minor chipping at the top spine end. Slight bumping of the corners, and slight water staining along the bottom edges. Overall good. 3. The Chronicler of Barsetshire, by R.H. Super, The University of Michigan Press, Ann Arbor, 1988, 528 pp., 2nd Printing, In light blue cloth with dark blue titles on the spine. Ex-library with typical library stamps and labels. But appears to be very lightly used, so that the binding is very sound. and no other marks or damage. 4. A Guide to Trollope, by Winifred Gregory Gerould and James Thayer Gerould, The Trollope Society, London c. 1989 reprint of 1948 original, 256 pp. Fine in floral design olive and black cloth with gilt titles on the spine. No marks or damage at all. 5. Trollope and Women, by Margaret Markwick, Teh Trollope Society, London, 1997, 218 pp. Fine in blue cloth with gilt titles on the spine. No marks or damage at all. Unclipped DJ is also excellent. 6. Barchester Pilgrimage, by Ronald A. Knox, The Trollope Society, London, c. 1990 reprint of 1935 original. 278 pp. Fine in black and olive floral design boards with gilt titles on the spine. No marks or damage at all. 7. The Trollopes, The Chronicle of a Writing Family, by Lucy Paste Stebbins and Richard Poate Stebbins, Columbia University Press, New York, 1945, 394 pp. Very good in gray cloth with blue titles on the spine and front cover. Binding is very sound with minor spotting. Text shows slight age toning. No other marks or damage. 8. Writing by Numbers, Trollope's Serial Fiction, by Mary Hamer, Cambridge University Press, Cambridge, 1987, 199 pp. In brown cloth with gilt titles on the spine. Ex-library with typical library stamps and labels, but appears little used, so that the book is very sound and with no other marks or damage. The unclipped DJ has been in a plastic protective cover and is in excellent condition. 9. Anthony Trollope, A New Judgment, by Elizabeth Bowen, Oxford University Press, New York, 1946, 35 pp. Ex-library with typical library stamps and labels. Sturdily rebound in maroon library cloth with gilt titles on the spine.No other marks or damage. 10. Ayala's Angel, by Anthony Trollope, The Trollope Society, London, 1989 reprint of 1881 original, 532 pp. Fine in brown cloth with gilt titles on the spine and the Society's emblem blind-stamped on the front cover.
