Autograph of ISAAC MADDOX (1696-1759), dated December 26, 1746. Maddox was Bishop of Wells (1734-1736) and of St. Asaph (1736-1743). Note author of religious tracts including Vindication of the Elizabethan settlement of the Church of England. In good condition with backing. "Signed "Fa. (Father) Worcester."
