A half leather bound volume with marbled boards containing 10 "General Reports of the Agriculture of" Scottish Counties as follows: Galloway including the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright and Shire of Wigton (40p); The Carse of Gowry in the County of Perth (37p); East Lothian (157p) ; Midlothian (90p); County of Nairn & Eastern coast of Inverness shire and the Parish of Dyke, and part of Edenkeillie in the County of Elgin, and Forres (also Fort George) (29p); Southern Districts of the County of Perth; County of Roxburgh (140p);County of Renfrew (22p); County of Selkirk(50p); County of Tweedale(42p). There are folding tables and diagrams to some counties and an attractive hand coloured map of Midlothian by G.R. Firmly bound with some manuscript content listings. Each report has an advertisement page intimating that the report has been circulated "in order that every person may have it in his power to examine it fully before it is published". ?A prepublication edition. The marbled boards are rubbed and their is a chip at the top of the spine but internally clean and tight and in very good condition. The spine labels read Agricultural Reports Scotland Vol.8 G to T.
