Original handwritten one page signed letter by John Watson Croker (1780-1857) to P. Phillips regarding attending to a request. Croker was a British Tory leader and essayist. Served as Secretary to the Admilralty (1810-1830) and was noted literary critic. Letter relates to naval research between 1814 and 1826.
