Inhaltsangabe: 359 And a Wake-Up is a historial novel on the Vietnam War. The book features three characters from very diffferent backgrounds who come together in a infantry unit in the 196th light Infantry Brigade in the Americal Division. Lt. Brian Calhoun, fresh from West Point, Sergeant Jack Peterson, on his second tour in Vietnam, and John Whalen, who was drafted into the Army after graduation from Ohio State University, find themselves in the midst of a war they don't totally endorse. Despite their indifference to the war, they lead the men of the 2nd platoon against North Vietnamese Army regulars and Viet Cong soldiers who continue their relentless pursuit to unify Vietnam into one country.

Über den Autor: Dennis Daniels is a professional maritime educator who served in Vietnam with the 196th Light Infantry Brigade from 1970-1971. He also writes monthly columns on boating for two publications and served as a weekly comumnist for the Tonwanda News.
