New York : the artist, 1976,[remade in Harcourt, Victoria, circa 2007]. Folio, stamp-titled wrappers, nine leaves of hand stamped designs. Produced in an edition of three copies, signed and numbered by the artist. This is an unsigned artist's proof copy. This book is a study of colour and line. It forms design basis for drawings and studies exhibited at the Art Gallery of Ontario, Canada. Six finished copies were produced in 1976, the stamps printed on a grid background. Circa 2007, Jacks re-made the 1976 book in an edition of 5 copies, plus three copies (as here) with the background grids removed. References: ANDERSON, Peter. The artist?s books of Robert Jacks.
