Gwyneth Lewis's training as a poet and film-maker lends her prose a wonderfully visual quality, and her contagious optimism in the face of inconceivable adversity -- not much more could possibly have gone wrong -- makes this unique book both touchingly witty and incredibly wise.

Gwyneth Lewis is an award-winning poet who was named the first-ever National Poet of Wales in 2005. Her last book, ‘Zero Gravity’, which followed the journey of her cousin to repair the Hubble Space telescope, was shortlisted for the Forward Prize. She is married and lives in Cardiff.
