Brockenbrough, P.E. has served as a senior consultant with U.S. Steel and is a contributor to Standard Handbook for Civil Engineers and co-editor of Structural Steel Designer's Handbook, both published by McGraw-Hill. A resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he maintains his own consulting business, specializing in product development and various applications of steel. He serves on the specifications committees of both AISC and AISI (chair).
Kenneth J. Boedecker, Jr., P.E. (deceased), was specifications engineer for W. R. Grace & Company at the end of his long and distinguished career. He also held positions in highway marketing management and civil engineering, as well as the chairmanship of various professional committees. He was honored with the prestigious ASTM Award of Merit in 1994.
