Field-Proven Strategies for Making People the Key Asset of Your Next Project
People--far more than processes or technologies--determine the success or failure of a project. The Project Management Workbook breaks the people side of project management into an easy-to-follow, step-by-step process, and shows you how to work with instead of against people to complete every project both on time and on budget.
From conceptualizing project plans to analyzing their impacts, this results-focused book shows you how to involve and empower everyone in the project--from managers to employees to vendors and end users. Let it introduce you to:
Praise for The Project Management Workbook:
"Finally--a project management book about the human side of tackling new initiatives!...Not only will this book help your projects succeed clearly, quickly, and efficiently, but it will help you create a committed, loyal project team that can take pride in a job well done."--Barbara A. Glanz, Author, Handle with CARE and CARE Packages for the Workplace
"The real success of a project is value--how it starts-up and continues to run efficiently. To make that happen requires the input and ownership of all stakeholders--engineers, end users, vendors, and management. The Project Management Workbook is a practical, how-to guide that not only shows you how to bring them all together but how to translate that to the bottom-line."--Andrew Metropole, Sr. Project Manager, Kraft Foods North America
"Nancy's book brings real-life project management challenges alive. Projects succeed or fail on the strengths of the people in the process. It's refreshing to see a book that recognizes this fact and outlines a practical, down to earth approach to help those responsible for projects meet their ultimate goal."--Jerry Welcome, VP Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute
