Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Larry K. Gaines is currently Chair of the Department of Criminal Justice at California State University at San Bernardino. He is a past president of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences and past executive director of the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police. He received his doctorate in criminal justice from Sam Houston State University. He has published a number of books and papers in police administration, drug policies, and enforcement, and white collar crime. He is currently pursuing research on police personnel issues. Mittie D. Southerland is Professor of Criminal Justice at Murray State University. She earned her MS at Eastern Kentucky University in 1973 and the Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky in 1984. She is the past President of the Southern Association of Criminal Justice Educators and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. John E. Angell is Professor emeritus of the Justice Center at the University of Alaska at Anchorage. He earned his MA and Ph.D. at Michigan State University. His major emphasis throughout his career has been on organizational design, theory, and research. Dr. Angell was a member of the Police Community Relations Task Force of the President's Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Justice and the State Law Enforcement Council in Oregon.
