This book is much more than a standard control text and aims to provide a bridge between the theory taught in academic institutions and the pragmatic practice of industrial control. Currently the microprocessor revolution is having a major impact on automatic control and instrumentation practice. A significant part of the book is devoted to microprocessors and their use in the control context.
