Inhaltsangabe

North America to find work; his mother is pregnant by another man. She dies on the boat in mid-Atlantic, giving birth to his half-sister, Rita, and In a Glass House describes the adolescent Vittorio's new life in Canada. Now Where She Has Gone takes the adult Vittorio full circle, back to the simple Italian village of his childhood with its memories and its ghosts. No longer wholly Itallian, not yet fully Canadian, Vittorio has to work out his relationship with Rita in order to understand his roots. This is a triumphant conclusion to a delicate and poignant story.
