Gil Geis is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Criminology, Law, & Society at the University of California, Irvine. best known for his major contributions to white-collar crime literature, he has written more than 400 professional publications, including books, articles, & book chapters. Dr. Geis has held honorary & visiting appointments at numerous universities both in the US and abroad. He is a former president of the American Society of Criminology, and recipient of the Edward E. Sutherland award for distinguished research.
