Charles J. Bontempo has over twenty years of experience in database management systems as a user, database designer, software developer, and as a consultant. He has worked with many of IBM's key customers in a consulting role on the selection and use of DBMSs, and has lectured both in the U.S. and abroad on database topics. Cynthia Maro Saracco has more than ten years of experience in the database management field. She has hands-on experience using six commercial DBMS products. Currently a member of the technical staff at IBM's Santa Teresa Laboratory, she is frequently asked to present at database conferences around the world.
