David L. Wright was born and raised in New York City and now resides in Southern California. He is the owner of DollarBits.com, a personal finance website. His lifelong avocation of researching investment opportunities and closely monitoring his investment portfolio began when he was in his teens.
During his professional career he worked as a computer programmer, an educator, a corporate executive, and even as an artist. Prior to taking early retirement, he spent ten years as the CFO for a privately held corporation where he acted as a fiduciary for the company's 401(k) retirement plan, selecting and monitoring the plan's investment lineup for the company's 1,500 plan participants.
Inspired by numerous employees, colleagues, acquaintances, and friends who knew they needed to invest for their retirement, but didn't know how to, Mr. Wright wrote INVESTING FOR THE REST OF US. This, his first book, has been extremely well received by both readers and reviewers alike.
Mr. Wright hopes that his writings will inspire others and will serve a meaningful purpose in their lives. Today, he continues writing for DollarBits.com while simultaneously working on his next personal finance book.
When he's not writing, Mr. Wright and his wife enjoy spending time with their pets and tending to their garden.
