Eoin Colfer followed his parents into teaching and soon began to invent stories for his pupils. He has now written several hugely successful books for children, including four Artemis Fowl titles, The Supernaturalist, and The Legend of Spud Murphy. ARTEMIS FOWL was shortlisted for the Whitbread Children's Book of the Year and won the Children's Book of the Year at the British Book Awards and the WHSmith Children's Book of the Year. Eoin lives in Wexford, Ireland.
