Dr Nozer Sheriar is a gynaecologist with a long-standing commitment to the promotion of women's health and reproductive rights. He is consultant at the Breach Candy, PD Hinduja and Holy Family hospitals in Mumbai. In clinical practice for over thirty years, he has had a vast experience of caring for women at every life stage, for medical issues ranging from the routine to the rarest. He has edited fifteen books and is a prolific author, having published seventy-five chapters in various books and forty scientific papers. He is a gold medallist at every postgraduate examination and a Young Gynecologist Awardee of Asia Oceania Federation. He has been awarded the FRCOG Honoris Causa by the Royal College in acknowledgement of his support of women's health. He has been married to Ruby, a banker, for thirty-five years. They have a daughter and a son, both married, and three grandsons. Dr Sheriar considers his practice of medicine to be a blend of science and art, which he complements with his love for reading, music and sketching.
