About the Author Ronald F. Hingley is University Lecturer in Russian at Oxford University. He has translated Chekhov's entire oeuvre for The Oxford Chekhov and is the author of several books, including Pasternak: A Biography, Undiscovered Dostoevsky, and A New Life of Anton Chekhov.
