Bob Chilcott as an ex-member of and arranger for the King's Singers, knows how to write a good tune. This is most in evidence in two short anthems for upper voices - 'Irish Blessing' and 'Loving Shepherd' - both of which would admirably suit a children's choir of moderate ability. for SSS and keyboard This is a beautiful, simple, and memorable tune supported by a distinctive organ ostinato in 5/8 time. It combines all the immediacy and freshness of a folksong with the deep spiritual sincerity of an anthem. The vocal writing is both imaginative and easy.
