Parts 1 and 8 are guides for the "Outer Rule", relating to the exterior life, and parts 2-7 are guides for the "Inner Rule" ,relating to interior life. The text is entirely in the Medieval Middle English of the original text. 130 pages, 5-3/4" X 9". Includes an Introduction, Editorial Method, Bibliography, these chapters are in modern English. Dust jacket is intact and has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Dark brown cloth covered boards with the title in gold on the front panel and spine. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. This is not a library discard copy. Edges of the text block are clean and the binding is tight and square.
