Floppy's Phonics is now a fully comprehensive synthetic phonics teaching programme. Like no other, it delivers the essential resources to teach and practise the alphabetic code in a systematic and engaging way to develop confident and capable readers. (Debbie Hepplewhite - Phonics expert and trainer)
Floppy's Phonics Sounds and Letters CD-ROM 1 is designed to support the rigorous and systematic approach to teaching synthetic phonics provided within the rest of the Floppy's Phonics Sounds and Letters programme. It supports whole class and individual exploration of Stages 1-3 of the Sounds and Letters books; providing a multi-sensory approach which allows children to interact with the spreads from the book and build on their phonic knowledge.
The CD-ROM also offers opportunity for further exploration of characters, places, events and themes, improving reading and comprehension and developing vocabulary.
It consists of the following features:
Stage 1
· Two spreads from each of the Stage 1 books.
· Audio of the sounds that feature in those spreads -for exploration and modelling the sounds for the children to recreate.
· A song per book to sing along with and move to. Each song is thematically linked to the book.
Stages 1+, 2 and 3
· Each of the spreads introduces a new sound/grapheme.
· Audio of all the sounds and words within the artwork as well as audio for the activities featured.
· Directional animations for modelling handwriting.
· Sounding out and blending activities.
· Sound revision activities.
· Drag and drop activities for spelling practice.
