Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
John Simpson is Chief Editor of the Oxford English Dictionary, and a Fellow of Kellogg College, Oxford. He has edited the Concise Oxford Dictionary of Proverbs, the Oxford Dictionary of Modern Slang, and wrote the introduction to The First English Dictionary 1604: Robert Cawdrey's A Table Alphabetical. He lectures and broadcasts regularly on the English language.
