Nancy Blachman, the founder of Variable Symbols, Inc., is coauthor (with Cameron Smith) of The Mathematica Graphics Guidebook (Addison-Wesley, 1995) and author of Mathematica Quick Reference, Version 2 (Addison-Wesley, 1992).
