Inhaltsangabe

Single-camera video shoots utilize just one camera on set, allowing for multiple takes and for shots to be edited together out of order. This setup gives the director more control over the shot, and it offers an enhanced cinematic quality. Single-camera setups are most often employed on sitcoms (some include30 Rock, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Ugly Betty). This book provides an overview of the entire process of single-camera production from end to end. Presented in a concise, easy-to-understand format, readers gain the insight they need to create their own (digital) video productions using a single camera. Clear illustrations demonstrate the techniques; equipment presented in the book, and the new edition expands the concentration on (HD) digital equipment and production techniques, digital non-linear editing, digital audio and digital lighting, plus an extended section on production workflow designed to carry out the importance of preproduction planning, format choice, and distribution methods. Part of the Media Manual Series.
