Late in the Autumn 'of 1856, a party of friends left England for a tour in Italy. When passing through the South of France, one of the travellers fell ill at N imes, and during six weeks of painful and dangerous indisposition, was attended with great skill and care by the author of this work. Freed from the tedious convalescence gener ally attendant upon Allopathic treatment, the patient was enabled at the end of that period, to resume the journey without the slightest inconvenience, more than ever impressed with the value of Homoeopathy, and grateful indeed to find, in this remote city, so able a representative of the system.
