Your Committee have taken evidence, both oral and documentary, on the matters referred to them, and they beg to report that in their Opinion the lands in question were originally set apart for the benefit of the aborigines, Bastards of aboriginal descent, and certain mission societies, some on tickets Of occupation in perpetuity, and others on titles of a temporary nature.
