Excerpt from Fourth Report of the Secretary of the Class of 1872 of Harvard College: June, 1878-June, 1881
The Report of the Class Fund I have thought best, for various reasons, to print by itself; and it will be distributed among the members of the Class by mail, or otherwise. The income of it is sufficient to afford us our regular triennial dinner, and to pay all current expenses and, while it is so, I do not think it worth while to invite further subscriptions to it, although only a small number of the Class have contributed the present fund. Those who have means to spare, and are anxious to contribute to something, are invited to subscribe to the Class Subscription Fund for the College, a report of which is given on a subsequent page.
There are several copies of the last Report left, also of the first, and of the class-day Oration, Poem, etc., which I shall be glad to send to any of the Class desiring them. 'please inform me of any mistakes in the following record, and of any change in occupation, address, etc.
