In making this bequest Mr. Bryant not only rend ered the University an additional service to the many by which his connection with it has always been characterized, but directed anew the attention of the alumni and the State to the tremendous importance of investing money in the training of young men and women.
Through this bequest Mr. Bryant strengthened the arm of the University for its task and made per manent his distinguished service to North Carolina.
