The tables of the other operations have not been studied as completely as have the addition tables, but the same kind of situa tion is indicated. The several combinations appear not to be equally difficult, although the order of difficulty probably is not the same for all operations. Also a study of our best number primers would doubtless show a corresponding failure of the frequency of occurrence of the combinations to agree with the need for practice upon them.
