The Lessons from Holy Scripture in the Cal endar are appointed, as far as possible, in accord ance with the course of the Christian year. By this arrangement the Word of God will be dis pensed to the great benefit of the Church. The course of Lessons appointed for Sundays will occupy two years, and our people will thereby be furnished with richer provision of divine in struction. And it will be observed that the Sun day Lessons from the Gospel of one year will recount all the words and works of our Blessedmunion, but is kept entirely distinct from either.
